Project Brief & Engineering Overview:
Date of Trial: October 10, 2026
Location: Guoxin Heavy Machinery Testing Bay, Henan, China
Equipment Tested: Industrial Double-Sheft Shear Shredder with Incline Belt Conveyor
Feedstock Profile: Post-consumer used clothing, mixed fabric rags, and textile waste
Primary Objective: Verify anti-wrapping cutter performance, continuous shredding stability, and uniform output sizing for textile recycling or downstream RDF fuel preparation.
1. Industry Challenge: The Complexity of Textile Waste Processing
With the global acceleration of circular economy mandates, textile recycling and alternative fuel (RDF/SRF) preparation have become critical components of modern municipal solid waste management. However, processing post-consumer used clothing and fabric rags presents severe mechanical challenges:
-
High Tensile Strength & Elasticity: Synthetic fibers, denim, and mixed garments resist standard cutting action, requiring specialized high-torque shear forces.
-
Shaft Winding & Thermal Overload: Loose rags and long clothing strips easily wrap around conventional shredder rotors, causing frequent motor tripping and high maintenance downtime.
-
Feedstock Uniformity: Downstream sorting, pneumatic conveying, or briquetting systems require a predictable, uniform particle size distribution.
2. Integrated System Configuration & Trial Setup
To overcome these obstacles, Guoxin’s engineering team configured an automated testing circuit in our heavy assembly bay:

-
Incline Belt Conveyor Feed: Workers fed unsegregated piles of used clothing and mixed fabric rags onto a heavy-duty inclined belt conveyor, ensuring a steady, continuous material flow into the shredder hopper.
-
Double-Shaft Shear Shredding: The material entered the main cutting chamber, where high-torque, counter-rotating shafts equipped with specialized multi-hook alloy cutter discs forcefully ripped and sheared the textiles.
-
Discharge & Sizing: Cleanly shredded, uniform textile flakes discharged continuously onto the floor, ready for secondary sorting or baling.
3. FAT Trial Results & Performance Metrics
During the workshop trial on October 10, 2026, the shredder demonstrated exceptional reliability under continuous load:
| Performance Parameter | Trial Specification | Measured Results | Status |
| Feeding Method | Continuous Incline Conveyor | Stable, uniform feeding without bridging | Passed |
| Cutter Shaft Performance | Anti-wrapping & high torque | Zero rotor entanglement / Zero motor stall | Passed |
| Output Particle Size | <= 50–80 mm flakes | Uniform, loose shredded textile flakes | Passed |
| Throughput Efficiency | High-capacity continuous run | Smooth volumetric discharge | Passed |
4. Key Advantages for Textile Recycling Plants
-
Enhanced Blade Metallurgy: Manufactured from premium wear-resistant alloy steel, maintaining sharp shearing edges even after processing abrasive buttons, zippers, and mixed synthetic fibers.
-
Smart PLC Overload Reversal: Automatic reverse rotation logic clears unexpected jams instantly without manual intervention.
-
Versatile Downstream Integration: Produces ideal shredded feedstock for textile fiber reclaiming, thermal insulation manufacturing, or high-density RDF-5 alternative fuel briquetting.
